Congratulations to the winner of The Block 2010, John and Neisha!

Three grueling months of sleeplessness and renovations paid off for three of the four couples competing in the 2010 series of The Block.

With so much time and effort invested, the couples watched on nervously as the hammer fell — three times only.

Each couple competed for a first prize of $100,000 in cash. In addition, couples were also entitled to pocket any difference between the sale price and the allocated reserve. There was no compensation should an apartment be passed in.

For first-placegetters Neisha and John their total take-home prize was a record $305,000, an amount they say will go straight towards the purchase of a home in which they can raise their family.

JELD-WEN was the supplier of choice for windows, doors, showerscreens, wardrobes and mirrors to the contestants throughout the series. Throughout the three months we saw some simply amazing transformations with the use of JELD-WEN products.
