Camping World 200, New Hampshire International Speedway
30 June 2007
Marcos Ambrose has posted the sixth fastest time in opening practice for the Camping World 200 at New Hampshire International Speedway in Loudon, New Hampshire today.
Ambrose was sixth in opening practice in the #59 Kingsford Charcoal Ford Fusion and then proceeded to post a solid result of 25th fastest in the final practice session.
Flatter one-mile ovals remain a tough discipline for Ambrose to master, but the Australian continues to put significant effort into adjusting to these unique speedways, where handling and car set-up is critical.
Ambrose worked hard on set-up for tomorrow’s qualifying as well as the race itself, the Camping World 200 held at New Hampshire International Speedway, which is race 18 of the 2007 NASCAR Busch Series.

“This weekend we are really determined to put up a better showing than we did last weekend in Milwaukee so this is the sort of start to the weekend that we all wanted,” said Ambrose.
“Loudon is another one mile speedway with these flat, long corners. Set-up is the key to going well at these places so practice is really important, especially for the rookies, so that in tomorrow’s race we already have a plan together in terms of how we are going to have the car.
“Everything worked fairly well for us today. We worked through a lot of things with the car and it was a productive day. But tomorrow is ‘pay day’ so it will be maximum effort from us tomorrow and we will see if we can get another top 10.”
