Team JELD-WEN in Texas

Alex Davison continued to show his strong raceTeam JELD-WEN Car 18

Team JELD-WEN endured a tough end to proceedings in Austin, Texas despite being surrounded by a large and supportive crowd which embraced the first ever V8 Supercars event in North America.

While qualifying did not go as planned, Alex continued to show his strong race.

In race one he gained an impressive eight places across the 27 laps, using a swift pit stop and clean race craft to move through the pack.

Unfortunately the second and final race of the day was one to forget.

While his cool suit dramas were completely fixed he had to make two pit stops to rectify a tyre issue, effectively ruling him out when he felt a top 10 place was on offer.

Alex was much happier with his car set-up and was again making up ground, though despite his delay he got back to the lead lap and finished to claim points.
